Going beyond, passing, lapse; देशकालातिपत्तौ च गृहीत्वा स्वयमर्पयेत् Y.2.169.

Nonperformance, failure; लिङ्निमित्ते लृङ् क्रियातिपत्तौ P.III. 3.139. (the conditional is used instead of the potential, when the non-performance of an action is implied).
