पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

--from हिरण्यगर्भ: two parts, male and female; the male half divided into eleven parts called Rudras by crying and running (oozing); each became a गणेश्वर; the female half came to be divided into two, शुक्ल (right) and कृष्ण (left); from her came प्रज्ञा and श्री and these in turn spread over the whole world in thousand ways. वा. 9. ७५-98; ४१. ३६.
