(I)--a ब्रह्मऋषि residing on the Meru slopes; appealed to बृहदश्व of इक्ष्वाकु line to vanquish Dhundhu (son of Madhu) residing near his hermitage and causing trouble to his peaceful avocations: कुवलाश्व at the bidding of his father बृहदश्व killed the asura and earned the title धुन्धुमार.
