उदारहणम् [udārahaṇam], 1 Relating, declaration, saying, utterance.

Narration, recital, opening a conversation; अथा- ङ्गिरसमग्रण्यमुदाहरणवस्तुपु Ku.6.65; अद्भुतोदाहरणानि Mv.5 stories or narrations.

A declaratory song or poem, a sort of panegyric beginning with words like जयति and full of alliteration; पत्रे निवेशितमुदाहरणं प्रियायाः V.2.14; चारणेभ्यस्त्वदीयं जयोदाहरणं श्रुत्वा V.1; जयोदाहरणं बाह्वोर्गापयामास किन्नरान् R.4.78; (येन केनापि तालेन गद्यपद्यसमन्वितम् । जयत्युप- क्रमं मालिन्यादिप्रासविचित्रितम् ॥ तदुदाहरणं नाम विभक्त्यष्टाङ्गसंयुतम् । Pratāparudra.)
