KANAKAREKHĀ : Daughter of the King of the island of Kanakapurī. By a curse she was born as the daughter of Paropakārī, King of the city of Vardhamāna. A brahmin named Śaktideva married her. (Caturdāri- kālambaka, Kathāsaritsāgara, Taraṅga 1).
