कुक्वुटव्रत¦ n. (-तं) A religious observation, (worship of SIVA,) on the seventh of the light fortnight of Bhadra, by women, especially for the sake of obtaining offsring. E. कुक्कुट a howl, and व्रत religious rite; alluding to the fruitfulness of the hen.
