All the rivers are described as having holy water (puṇyajalāḥ) 6. 12. 29, (puṇyodāḥ) 6. 12. 31; holy and excellent (puṇyās tā hi saridvarāḥ) 6. 12. 32; Gaṅgā is described as having many streams (bahudhāgatiḥ) 6. 12. 29.
