पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

--pilgrimage to गया; preliminaries; per- formance of श्राद्ध, going round the village, travel to another village and so on, every day without begging food, etc.: purity and selflessness to be maintained; reaching गया, bathing and performance of श्राद्ध according to his Veda शाख; the next day visit to Pretaparvata, bath in ब्रह्मकुण्ड and the offer of पिण्डस् in other places.
