तद्व्यपदेशन्यायः [tadvyapadēśanyāyḥ], A मीमांसा rule of interpretation according to which an expression is to be considered as a नामधेय (name of a याग) if in the sequel is found a statement comparing the याग with the idea or thing expressed by that term. This rule is discussed by जैमिनि and शबर at MS.1.4.5.
