(I)--A देवासुर battle in कृत yuga; तारा's (तारका, बृहस्पति's wife) abduction by Soma, was the ground for war between the Asuras and the Suras. शुक्र joined Soma while शिव and Indra took up बृहस्- pati's cause. फलकम्:F1:  भा. III. 5. ३२; M. १२९. १६; १७२. १०; वा. ६७. ६९; ७०. ८१; ९०. ३३.फलकम्:/F Here विष्णु killed कालनेमि, and Indra, Viro- cana, son of प्रह्लाद; (Virocana was killed by विष्णु in the [page२-020+ २९] guise of Indra-वा। प्।).
