Tālajaṅgha : m. (pl.): Name of some Kṣatriyas.
Past events:
(1) King Sagara extirpated them along with Haihayas 3. 104. 7;
(2) King Bakula of the Tālajaṅghas was one of the sixteen kings who completely annihilated their kinsmen, friends and relatives (ye samuccicchidur jñātīn suhṛdaś ca sabāndhavān) 5. 72. 13, 11;
(3) To illustrate that the lustre and strength of the Kṣatriyas was pacified when they faced Brāhmaṇas, Bhīṣma mentioned that the Bhṛgus had conquered Tālajaṅghas 13. 34. 15-16; Aurva (a Bhārgava) alone destroyed a large number of Tālajaṅgha Kṣatriyas (tālajaṅghaṁ mahat kṣatram aurveṇaikena nāśitam) 13. 138. 11.
