पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

(I)--a son of दारुक, an अवतार् of the Lord. वा. २३. १९६.

(II)--the previous अवतार् of उमा; stars regarded as her daughters; फलकम्:F1:  M. १३. १०; १२८. ५०; १९९. २०.फलकम्:/F a daughter of दक्ष; फलकम्:F2:  Br. I. 1. ५९.फलकम्:/F became हिंअवान्'s daughter by worshipping शिव. फलकम्:F3:  Ib. III. 7. ४७२; IV. ११. 2-5.फलकम्:/F

DĀKṢĀYAṆI : Daughter of Dakṣa. This name is gene- rally used for all the daughters of Dakṣa. Occasionally this name is used for the grand daughters of Dakṣa also.
