 पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्। |
प्रमाणम्, क्ली, (प्रमीयते विश्वमनेनेति । प्र + मा + ल्युट् ।) विष्णुः । यथा, -- “प्रमाणं प्राणनिलयः प्राणभृत् प्राणजीवनः ॥” इति महाभारते शान्तिशर्व्वणि दानधर्म्मः ॥ नित्यम् । मर्य्यादा । शास्त्रम् । (यथा, -- “आप्ता ह्यवितर्कस्मृतिविभागविदो निष्प्री- त्युपतापदर्शिनश्च । तेषामेवङ्गुणयोगात् यद्व- चनं तत् प्रमाणम् । अप्रमाणं पुनर्मर्त्तोन्मत्त- मूर्खरक्तदुष्टादुष्टवचनमिति ।” इति चरके विमानस्थाने चतुर्थेऽध्याये ॥) सत्यवादी । (प्र + मा + भावे ल्युट् ।) इत्यत्ता । हेतुः । (प्रमिणोतीति । प्र + मा + कर्त्तरि ल्युः ।) प्रमाता । इति मेदिनी । णे, ६१ ॥ प्रमा । इति शब्दरत्नावली ॥ नित्यक्लीवैकत्ववानयं शब्दः । यथा वेदाः प्रमाणं स्मृतयः प्रमाण- मित्यादि ॥ प्रमायाः करणम् । न्याये तु प्रत्यक्षा- नुमानोपमानशब्दाः प्रमाणानि । इत्यत्र बहु- वचनान्तोऽपि ॥ (यथा, मनौ । २ । १३ । “अर्थकामेष्वसक्तानां धर्म्मज्ञानं विधीयते । धर्म्मं जिज्ञासमानानां प्रमाणं परमं श्रुतिः ॥” वेदान्तसारे च । “वेदान्तो नाम उपतिषत् प्रमाणं तदुपकारीणि शारीरिकसूत्रादीनि च ॥” “उपनिषच्छब्दो ब्रह्मात्मैक्यसाक्षात्कारविषयः । सैव उपनिषत् प्रमाणं तस्याः प्रमारूपायाः करणभूता ।” इति विद्वन्मनोरञ्जनीटीका ॥)
