पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

--three kinds of, superior, middling and in- ferior; the different varieties are पुष्पक, पुष्पभद्र, Suv- rata, अमृतनन्द, कौशल्य, बुद्धिसम्कीर्ण, गजभद्रा, जयावह, श्रीवत्स, Vijaya, वास्तुकीर्ति, श्रुतिन्जय, यज्ञ- bhadra, विशाल, सुश्लिष्ट, शत्रुमर्दन, भागपञ्च, Nan- dana, मानव, मानभद्रक, सुग्रीव. Harita, Karni- कार, शतर्धिक, Simha, श्यामभद्र, Subhadra, all total- ling २७; these may be triangular, circular, semi-circular, eight cornered, sixteen cornered, etc.; generally ten kinds of doorways are furnished avoiding वेध; fruit and flower trees are to be grown all round; a pool of water must be maintained; on the south a tapovanam, on the north a देवी temple, on the north-east a kitchen and on the south-east a विनायक shrine and then यज्ञशाला; these constitute a temple; the bell near the gateway.
