--the king of Sindhu--सौवीर kingdom: employed जड-Bharata as his palanquin bearer, and found fault with him for not bearing it properly: He understood that he was a Brahmana, felt remorse and enquired who he was. Heard precepts on आत्मविद्या from Bharata and became devoted to Hari in a spirit of detachment. भा. V. १०. 1-२५; १३. २५.

RAHŪGAṆA : A sage who lived in Ṛgvedic times. It was his son Gotama, who composed the 74th Sūkta of the first Maṇḍala of Ṛgveda.
