To know, be aware of; विजानन्तो$प्येते वयमिह विपज्जालजटिलान्न मुञ्चामः कामान् Bh.3.21.
To learn, comprehend, understand.
To ascertain, find out, learn from.
To regard, know to be, consider as.
To discern, discriminate, distinguish.
To be familiar with.
To become wise or learned; यथा यथा हि पुरुषः शास्त्रं समधिगच्छति । तथा तथा विजानाति Ms.4.2.
