समुद्गः, पुं, (समुद्गच्छतीति । सम् + उत् + गम् + अन्येष्वपीति डः ।) सम्पुटकः । इति हेम- चन्द्रः ॥ (यथा, रामायणे । २ । ९१ । ७५ । “शुक्लांश्चन्दनकल्कांश्च समुद्गेष्ववतिष्ठतः ॥” मुद्गेन सह वर्त्तमानः ।) मुद्गसहितश्च ॥
