पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्। |
--a daughter of विश्वकर्मा, sister of Maya; wife of the Sun god; known as सम्ज्ञा; gave birth to Manu and then to twins Yama and यमुना! took the guise of a horse and wandered in the Kuru country and became the horse of सविता; through her two nostrils were born अश्विन्स्. also known as नासत्य and Dasra. Unable to bear the sun's rays, she requested छाया to take her place and guise until [page३-666+ २३] she returned; she went home, but after some time her father turned her out. Br.
