पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

अनुमतिः, स्त्री, (अनु + मन् + भावे क्त्विन् । कला- हीनत्वेऽपि पूर्णिमाविहितयागादिकरणाय अनु- ज्ञायतेऽस्यां अनु + मन् + अधिकरणे क्तिन् ।) सम्मतिः । अनुज्ञा । न्यूनेन्दुकला पूर्णिमा । चतु- र्द्दशीयुक्ता पूर्णिमा । इति मेदिनी ॥ (“कुह्वै चैवानुमत्यै च प्रजापतय एव च । सहद्यावापृथिव्योश्च तथा स्विष्टकृतेऽन्ततः” ॥ इति मनुः ।)

“अनुमत्याव्यपेयादिति” स्मृतिः। अनुमन्यते कलाहीनत्वेऽपिपृर्णिमाविहितयागादिकरणायानुज्ञायते ऽस्याम् अधिकरणेक्तिन्। कलाहोनचन्द्रवत्यां शुक्लचतुर्दशीयुतपूर्ण्णिमातिथौ। अनुमतो राकेति देवपत्न्याविति नैरुक्ताः पौर्णमास्यावितियाज्ञिका या पूर्व्वा पौर्णमासी सानुमतिर्योत्तरा सा राकेतिविज्ञायते॥ अनुमतिरनुमननात्।

Permission, consent, approval, assent.

The 15th day of the moon's age on which she rises one digit less than full, when the gods and manes receive oblations with favour; personified as a goddess or worshipped in the Rājasūya sacrifice (कलाहीन- चन्द्रवती शुक्लचतुर्दशीयुतपूर्णिमातिथिः); अनुमत्यै हविरष्टाकपालं पुरोडाशं निर्वपति Śat. Br.; Ms.3.86-87. -Comp. -प्रत्रम् a deed expressing assent.
