पुरस्¦ अव्य॰ प्रथमापञ्चमीसप्तम्यर्थवृत्तेः पूर्वशब्दात् दिग्देश-कालवाचकात् असि पुर् आदशः।

३ देशे च। तथा च पूर्वा दिक् पूर्बः कालो देशोबा तथा पूर्वस्या दिश आगच्छति पूर्बस्मादागच्छति पूर्वस्यांदिशि वर्त्तते पुरो वर्त्तते एवं देशे काले च।

“पुरोऽव्ययम्” पा॰ अस्य च समर्थेन सह स-मासः कृञ्योगे भूपमृतियोगे च उपपद्रसंज्ञायाम् पुर-स्कृत्य पुरीभूय पुरोगत्येति प्रयोगः।
