Bharant, ‘bearing,’ in the plural denotes in one passage of the Pañcaviṃśa Brāhmaṇa, according to Bo7htlingk, following Sāyaṇa, ‘the warrior caste,’ but the sense is not certain. Weber was inclined to see a reference to the Bharatas, though the form of the word is that of the present participle.
