(मृज् + ल्युट्) प्रस्तर-संज्ञक घास पर पानी उड़ेलना एवं उसके बाद ‘इडा’ खाने वालों (भक्ष्य) के ऊपर इसे छिड़कता है; शिर पर जल उड़ेलना (रु.), आप.श्रौ.सू. 3.3.1; आश्व.श्रौ.सू. 1.8.1-2; पुरोहितों का उनके इडा को खाने के पश्चात् (शुद्धीकरण के लिए) अपने शिरों के ऊपर जल छिड़कना (दर्श), भा.श्रौ.सू. 3.2.6; 4.16.1।
