पृष्ठभागोऽयं यन्त्रेण केनचित् काले काले मार्जयित्वा यथास्रोतः परिवर्तयिष्यते। तेन मा भूदत्र शोधनसम्भ्रमः। सज्जनैः मूलमेव शोध्यताम्।

राजर्षिः, पुं, (राजा ऋषिरिव श्रेष्ठत्वात् ।) ऋतपर्णादिराजः । इति त्रिकाण्डशेषः ॥ तस्य स्मरणं कलिनाशनम् । यथा, -- “कर्कोटकस्य नागस्य दमयन्त्या नलस्य च । ऋतपर्णस्य राजर्षेः कीर्त्तनं कलिनाशनम् ॥” इति महाभारतम् ॥

राजर्षि¦ m. (-र्षिः) A kind of saint; that holy and superhuman personage which a king or man of the military class may become by the practice of religious austerities; seven classes of Rishis are enu- merated, the De4VARSHI, BRAHMARSHI, MAHARSHI, PARAMARSHI, RAJARSHI, KA4N4D4ARSHI, and S4RUTARSHI: the order is variously given, but the RA4JARSHI is inferior to the four preceding ones, and the two last mean the inspired saints and supposed authors of the scriptures. E. राज king, and ऋषि a saint.
