वध् [vadh], 1 P. (वधति) To slay, kill (not used in classical Sanskrit except as a substitute for हन् in the Aorist and Benedictive).

वध् (also written बध्; cf. बाध्; properly only used in the aor. and Prec. tenses अवधीत्and धिष्ट; वध्यात्and वधिषीष्टPa1n2. 2-4 , 42 etc. ; vi , 62 ; the other tenses being supplied by हन्; cf.
