Having no hair, bald (as head).

शी A woman with loose hair.

A woman without hair.

A small tress of hair tied up separately and then collected into the larger braid or Veṇi.

N. of the wife of Śiva in the form of the Earth (one of the 8 forms of Śiva; cf. यामाहुः सर्वभूतप्रकृतिः Ś.1.1.). -Comp. -तारका a comet.
