वेतालपञ्चविंशतिका/ वेताल--पञ्च-विंश f. a collection of 25 tales or fables told by a वेतालor demon to king विक्रमा-दित्य(of which there are 5 recensions extant , one by क्षेमे-न्द्रin his बृहत्-कथा-मञ्जरी, one by सोम-देवin the कथा-सरित्-सागर, and the other three by जम्भल-दत्त, वल्लभ, and शिव-दासPage1015,1 ; versions of these popular tales exist in Hindi , Tamil and Telugu , and almost every Hindu vernacular).
