शककाल/ शक--काल m. the शकera (beginning A.D.78 , and founded by king शालि-वाहन; an expired year of the शकera is converted into the corresponding year A.D. by adding to it 78-79 ; e.g. 654 expired = A.D. 732-733) VarBr2S. Ra1jat. ( RTL. 433 ).
