शल्यपर्वन्/ शल्य--पर्वन् n. N. of the ninth book of the महा-भारत, (this book describes how , on the death of कर्ण, शल्य, king of मद्र, was appointed to the command of the कुरुarmy , and how a combat with maces took place between शल्यand भीम, and another great battle between शल्यand युधि-ष्ठिर, in which the former was at last killed).
