सूचिः, स्त्री, (सूच्यतेऽनयेति । सूच + णिच् + “अच इः ।” उणा० ४ । १३८ । इति इः ।) व्यधनी । इत्यसरः । ३ । ५ । ७ ॥ (यथा, कथा- सरित्सागरे । १०४ । ७५ । “चन्द्रोऽग्निर्विषमाहारो गीतानि श्रुतिसूचयः उद्यानं बन्धनं पौष्पी माला दिग्धा शरावली ॥” “विव्यथ भरतोऽतीव व्रणे तुद्येव सूचिना ।” इति रामायणे । २ । ७५ । १७ । इत्यत्र तु महाकविप्रयोगवशात् साधुत्वम् ॥) नृत्यप्रभेदः । शिखा । यथा, -- “सूचिर्नृत्यप्रभेदे च व्यधनीशिखयोरपि ।” इति रत्नकोषः ॥ (यथा, कुमारे । ५ । ४३ । “अलभ्यशोकाभिभवेयमाकृति- र्विमानना सुभ्रु कुतः पितुर्गृहे । पराभिमर्शो न तवान्ति कः करं प्रसारयेत् पन्नगरत्नसूचये ॥” * ॥ केतकीपुष्पम् । इति सूचिपुष्पशब्दर्शनात् ॥ यथा, ऋनुसंहारे । २ । २३ । “मुदित इव कदम्बैर्जातपुष्पैः समन्तात् पवनचलितशाखैः शाखिभिर्नृत्यतीव । हसितमिव विधत्ते सूचिभिः केतकीनां नवसलिलनिषेकात् शान्ततापो वनान्तः ॥” व्यूहविशेषः । यथा, मनुः । ७ । १९१ । “संहतान् योधयेदल्पान् कामं विस्तार- येद्बहून् । सूच्या वज्रेण चैवैतान् व्यूहेन व्यूह्य योधयेत् ॥”)
