Ulmukavakṣayaṇa is an expression that occurs several times in the Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa, signifying a ‘means of extinguishing (ava-kṣayaṇa) a firebrand,’ or possibly more precisely ‘tongs.’ Compare Aṅgārāvakṣayaṇa.
