Pratṛd occurs once in the plural in a hymn of the Ṛgveda, where it is clearly a variant of the word Tṛtsu. Moreover, the name of King Pratardana, a descendant of the Tṛtsu king, Divodāsa, confirms the identification of Tṛtsu and Pratṛd.
