स्थितिः, स्त्री, (स्था + क्तिन् ।) न्याय्यपथस्थितिः । तत्पर्य्यायः । संस्था २ मर्य्यादा ३ धारणा ४ । इति क्षत्त्रियवर्गे अमरः । २ । ८ । २६ ॥ संस्थितिः ५ । इति शब्दरत्नावली ॥ (यथा, कुमारे । १ । १८ । “स मानसों मेरुसखः पितॄणां कन्यां कुलस्य स्थितये स्थितिज्ञः मेनां मुनीनामपि माननीया- मात्मानुरूपां विधिनोपयेमे ॥”) अवस्थानम् । तत्पर्य्यायः । आस्या २ आसना ३ । इति सङ्कीर्णवर्गे अमरः । ३ । २ । २१ ॥ (यथा, रघुः । १ । ८९ । “प्रस्थितायां प्रतिष्ठेथाः स्थितायां स्थिति- माचरेः ॥”) सीमा । इति मेदिनी ॥ * ॥ (नियमः । यथा, महाभारते । ३ । १३१ । २० । “श्येनः कपोतानत्तीति स्थितिरेषा सनातनी । मा राजन् सारमज्ञात्वा कदलीस्कन्धमासजः ॥”) द्रव्यविशेषे स्थितिनिषेधो यथा, -- “नास्थिभस्मकपालानि न केशान् वा कथञ्चन । तुषाङ्गारकविष्ठानामधितिष्ठेत् कदाचन ॥ इति कौर्म्मे उपविभागे । १६ । ७९ ॥
