Daivāpa, ‘descendant of Devāpi,’ is the patronymic of Indrota in the Śatapatha Brāhmaṇa and the Jaiminīya Upaniṣad Brāhmaṇa. No connexion can be traced with the Devāpi of the Rigveda.
