रोपणाका f. a kind of bird RV. AV. ( Sa1y. " a thrush " = शारिका).

Ropaṇākā is the name of a bird mentioned in the Rigveda[१] and the Atharvaveda.[२] The ‘thrush’ seems to be meant;[३] but Keśava, the commentator on the Kauśika Sūtra,[४] is inclined to understand the word to mean a sort of wood.
